Graduate Student Paper Contest

The Society for Computational Economics sponsors a contest for outstanding graduate student papers.

We are soliciting student papers with a strong computational component, in any branch of economics, finance, and decision making for the award of the SCE 2009 Student Prize.  Papers entered in this contest must also be submitted through Conference Maker by January 31, 2009.

The recipient(s) of the student prize will receive a cash award. The award of the prize is conditional on the presence of the prize recipients at the CEF2009 meeting. That is, the recipient must be registered and present the paper in order to compete. The jury reserves the right not to award the prize if it considers that none of the submitted papers is of sufficient quality, or to award several prizes. A maximum of US$3000 will be given for up to three prizes.

Applications for the student prize must include the full paper. This should be sent by e-mail in PDF format to Christophe Deissenberg: christophe.deissenberg@univmed.fr

The subject line of the e-mail should be studentprize. The proof(s) of Ph.D. student status should be faxed to +(33) 4 42 93 09 68 with cover page Application for the student prize CEF2009.

Application deadline is

March 15, 2009.
