Call for
Papers
The 15th Annual Conference on
Computing in Economics and Finance (CEF 2009) will take place in Sydney,
Australia from the Wednesday, 15th of July through to the Friday,
17th of July, 2009. The program will cover all areas
dealing with the computational aspects (broadly defined) of economics,
finance, and decision making. The main topic areas include

To have a paper considered for
inclusion on the program, please submit an abstract (max 3,000 characters,
or approx. 300 words) no later than January 31, 2009 (read below for
submission details). Joint-authored papers
should be submitted by the author planning to present the paper. Submissions
should be made online via the Conference Maker program
to the Committee member whose
areas of specialisation most closely match the theme of the paper. A
link to Conference Maker can be found at the bottom of this page.
The submission of organised
sessions is also encouraged. Participants in such proposed sessions should
also submit their papers via Conference Maker, together with an e-mail to
the responsible program co-ordinator indicating that the papers are intended
for an organised session.

DEADLINES:
Submission of abstract no later than the 31st of January 2009.
Decisions on acceptance will be made by 28th of February, 2009 and
final papers should be uploaded by the 15th of June 2009. Those
wishing to attend the conference are encouraged to respect the submission
deadlines. Keeping to the schedule will allow participants to book flights
to Australia in March, as reasonably priced flights during the June-July
period tend to become heavily booked by April.
Submission Instructions
We are using a dedicated software
program, Conference Maker, for paper submission and program management. To connect to
Conference Maker, MAKE SURE YOUR BROWSER ACCEPTS COOKIES and click on the
link below. You will be prompted to enter your login name and password (the
same as for all of your previous Conference Maker submissions). If this is your
first time ever using Conference Maker, click the link to sign up for a new account. Then you can login for CEF2009
and submit your abstract by clicking on "Submit a Paper". Note that you
can first prepare the abstract using any word processor and paste it in the
appropriate Conference Maker field.
Conference Maker© requires you to self-select a Program Committee
member to
review your paper using the "Area" field. Please choose the committee member
whose area of expertise most closely corresponds with the topic of your
paper.
